About the Foundation

During the past six years, under the leadership of Jim Minarik, the DEI Holdings Charitable Foundation has raised more than one million dollars for charity. In 2001 following September 11, Directed quickly raised $113,000 and donated it to the United Way of New York's September 11th fund. In 2002 the company had its first Charity Golf Tournament and raised $115,000, which was donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. In 2003 Directed's second annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $200,000 for the new DEI Holdings Charitable Foundation. Since 2003, the Foundation has raised more than $1 million. Of this total, more than $500,000 has been disbursed to a number of beneficiaries including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Vista, Oceanside, San Clemente and Temecula. In the past five years the DEI Holdings Charitable Foundation has made it possible for these clubs to upgrade their facilities, purchase supplies, and provide valuable guidance. This has made a real difference for thousands of children. The Foundation's goal is to build an endowment which will allow it to help disadvantaged youth for many years to come.
